Architectural Technician

 

We are seeking a qualified Architectural Technician to join our busy practice. We aspire to provide a personal service tailored to each and every client's needs regardless of the type or size of project. We offer a wide range of services to see through every project from start to finish. We pride ourselves on the exceptional quality of our design and services.

 

We offer continued personal development, alongside the continued support and mentorship of senior colleagues. We endeavour to create an enjoyable and relaxed working environment, with the goal for each member of our team to feel valued.

 

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with the following attributes, 

 

  • To work as part of a team or independently.

  • Willingness to learn and further existing skills.

  • Ambitious, practical and committed to creating a career in architecture.

  • The ability to collaborate, listen and take instruction.

  • Excellent communication, networking and time management skills.

  • Be punctual and professional.

  • Knowledge of current Building Regulations and Planning Policy.

  • Attention to detail.

 

Qualifications and experience required

 

  • HND/HNC/Degree Building Studies, Architecture, or similar.

  • Proficient in AutoCAD software.

  • Knowledge of Sketchup Pro (training can be provided).

  • Competent in Microsoft 365 Office Suite.

  • Industry experience.

 

Role and Responsibilities

 

  • To take instruction from senior members of the practice and work alongside the design team.

  • Travelling to and from sites and carrying out dimensional and level surveys of properties.  

  • Producing full existing drawings from survey information.

  • Producing full planning drawings and documents.

  • Communicating with clients throughout the longevity of projects.

  • Submitting Planning Applications and overseeing the process until determination.

  • Communicating with statutory authorities and third parties.

  • Producing full technical drawings and specifications to Building Regulations.

  • Submitting Building Regulation applications and overseeing the process.

  • Supporting construction team including suppliers, subcontractors, site managers and fabricators.

Office Assistant

 

We are seeking an Office Assistant to join our busy practice.

 

We endeavour to create an enjoyable and relaxed working environment, with the goal for each member of our team to feel valued.

 

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with the following attributes,

 

  • The ability to collaborate, listen and take instruction.

  • Excellent communication, networking and time management skills.

  • Be punctual and professional.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Administrative and Organizational skills.

  • IT literate including competence in Microsoft 365 Office Suite.

Role and Responsibilities

 

  • Welcoming visitors to our practice in Snettisham in a warm and friendly manner.

  • Answering telephone calls and taking messages.

  • Assisting with initial enquires.

  • Provide support and information to clients.

  • Sending and receiving e-mails.

  • Managing records / filing.

  • Provide support to colleagues when called upon.

  • Scheduling and preparing for meetings.
