About us
ACS Architectural Ltd. was established in February 2013 by its founder Chris Borrmann with the backing of confident investors. The practice started within a small back room in a shared office in Hunstanton, Norfolk. The business expanded quickly with Chris’ brother Nick joining the practice initially part time before continuing full time.
By this stage ACS Architectural Ltd. had completed a wide range of projects across West Norfolk and established itself as a professional architectural practice providing a high-quality service to its clients.
Chris’ father David joined the company in August 2017 to assist with everyday office administration, turning the practice into a family business.
With an expanding workforce and an office no longer fit for purpose, the practice moved to larger premises in 2018, still in Hunstanton, before again moving to the current office in Snettisham, Norfolk in 2021. Now, a multi-award winning practice, ACS Architectural Ltd. continues to expand and grow its work force by offering apprenticeships to individuals looking for a career within architecture.
Our Team
Chris Borrmann
Chris is the founder and director of ACS Architectural Ltd. Chris has extensive knowledge of the industry with more than 20 years experience. Chris gained an HNC qualification in Construction.
Chris will always be there advising you on aspects of planning, design and Building Regulation requirements from the very start and throughout the entire job.
Chris' technical knowledge ensures the production of the highest quality Building Regulation drawings and specifications which are highly regarded by local builders and contractors.
Nick joined Chris at the company in late 2013. Nick has a total of 13 years experience as an architectural technician and designer and will guide you through the planning application process, as well as carry out surveys, produce planning drawings and reports.
Nick originally trained at Coventry University gaining a degree in Transport and Product Design learning 3-D design and image editing.
Nick is also director of our sister company Archi-Vis Studio Ltd. which produces high quality computer generated images for prospective developments.
Nick Borrmann BA(hons)
David started at the company in August 2017. David has 40 years of experience in manufacturing management, supply chain management, project management and new product introduction in the engineering and automotive industry.
Qualifications include Post Grad diploma in Manufacturing management, Continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing.
David is using his experience and knowledge to ensure the company is continually improving performance giving our clients an efficient and competitive service .
David Borrmann
Tilly originally joined the practice in summer 2018 for work experience, impressing so much she is now a full time member of the team. Tilly has achieved a diploma in construction with distinction.
Working at ACS Architectural Ltd, Tilly has become competent in carrying out surveys, producing planning drawings, planning reports and has shown enthusiasm and skill producing Sketchup models and visuals for clients.
Tilly is also adept in undertaking technical drawings and Building Regulation specifications,
Tilly Riches
Billy joined the team in spring 2023, showing a high level of enthusiasm and eagerness to learn. Billy is studying towards a diploma in Architectural Technology.
Quickly learning from senior members in the practice, Billy has become confident in carrying out dimensional and level surveys, preparing existing drawings and proposals with direction whilst acquiring a new skill in being able to construct 3D models within Sketchup.
Billy Sturgeon
Joining ACS Architectural Ltd in June 2023, Morgan brings passion for innovative architectural solutions, backed by an educational foundation at Oxford Brookes University, where he completed a BA degree in Architecture followed by a MSc in Construction Project Management.
Morgan's role at ACS involves various aspects within the practice, from conducting initial site surveys to producing designs for planning proposals. He also assists in the creation of SketchUp models and CGI visuals for clients.
